 Why St. Matthew?

Look how St. Matthew responded to the Coronavirus pandemic!

  • Friday, March 13- teachers learned we would need to modify our instruction to instruct digitally from home.
  • Monday, March 16- teachers had their plans in place, implemented the plan, and instruction began immediately without missing a beat.
  • Teachers have daily "face to face" contact with their students with distance learning.
  • Learning continues despite the school building being closed.
  • Our goal is to provide a quality education no matter the circumstances.
  • Parents and teachers work as a team. Parents are invested in their child's education and have stepped up to work with teachers to continue learning at home.

"This past year my family and I have been dealing with a crisis that has made me question myself, everyone around me and my faith. I was barely getting by emotionally and mentally. The stress drained me physically and then financially. I started losing hope and care about almost everything, trying so hard to hold on to taking care of my children.

The entire school staff held no judgments and pitched in on their own where they could.   Parents asked no questions and offered to help pick up and take my kids to events when I couldn't. The stability and the support of these people in our St Matt’s community helped me overcome one of the worst parts of my life.

Every day, time and time again, blessings happen that prove the St Matt’s family has a huge heart and dedication to its students, their families and our God. The school truly is dedicated to Christ, committed to learning and teaching God’s ways by being of service to their students, families and the community."
